Department Mandate :
- Development and update of the statistical register of establishments.
- Conduct of the statistical surveys of the economic establishments, in coordination with the specialized agencies.
- Preparation of national accounts, and statistics related to the government sector, finance sector, short-term economic indicators, GDP, and other tables of relevant statistical data, in coordination with the specialized agencies.
- Preparation of the price indexes and other indices, including CPI and PPI.
- Production of statistics related to manufacturing industry, energy, construction, domestic trade, finance, insurance, transport, communication, services, and the other statistical sectors.
- Conduct of the economic statistical analysis, and preparation of statistical researches and reports, in coordination with the specialized agencies.
- Coordination with the specialized agencies to ensure the integration of the entire statistics required for the preparation of national accounts, and creation of an integrated vision on the sector statistics.
- Preparation of statistics of the foreign trade and balance of trade, including imports, exports and re-exports, in coordination with the specialized agencies.
- Application of the quality control standards of statistical and economic data, in coordination with the concerned administrative units.
- Providing the statistical data demanded by local agencies, regional and international organizations, in coordination with the specialized agencies.
- Processing statistical and economic data for publication, in coordination with the specialized agencies.
