Qatar National Project Management (QNPM) is a national initiative was created in 2005 in the Planning Council to help build and support project professional management capacity in Qatar’s public service. It began as part of a broad program to make our public service more efficient and effective.
QNPM is an evolving initiative that currently includes a framework for managing projects based on a Project Lifecycle, with preset templates, job aids and other resources to help you automate project management tasks and work with your team online.
We decided to put between your hands the preset templates, aids and reference materials to support you to professionally manage projects to achieve better results.
QALM is an ambitious national project, developed by a number of government partners including: The General Secretariat for Development Planning, The Statistics Authority, The Supreme Council of Health, The Supreme Education Council, Supreme Council of Family Affairs, ictQATAR, Ministerial Cabinet and the Permanent Population Committee.
One of the project's long term goals is synchronizing and harmonizing information production of Government organizations and thus supporting their strategic planning needs for information.
The Arab Planning Institute's specialized library provides a variety of resources for researchers and those interested in economic and social issues in the Arab world. The library contains more than 20 thousand books and reference in both Arabic and English and provides a wide range of resources and tools for subscribers to browse more than 3,000 titles of academically referred journals and internationally acclaimed reports through databases such as Business Source Complete, The World Bank , The International Monetary Fund, the International Labor Organization and the World Trade Organization. In addition to the ability to browse national and country specific statistics and indicators. Furthermore, API’s digital library provides free access to all of the Institute's publications in digital format; such as Arab Competitiveness Reports, the journal of Economic and Development Policies, Development Bridge Series, Development Studies Series, working Papers Series and the Arab Development Reports.
