Ultimately, environment statistics aim at providing high quality statistical information to improve knowledge of the environment, to support evidence-based policy and decision making, and to provide information for the general public, as well as for specific user groups.
The scope of environment statistics covers biophysical aspects of the environment and those aspects of the human sub-system that directly influence and interact with the environment.
Official environment statistics of the State of Qatar support the implementation of the fourth pillar of the Qatar Vision 2030 and provide a single source of trusted environmental information which can be used for multiple purposes such as research, awareness raising or national and international state of the environment reporting.
