Statistics Department shall have the following functions:
- Collect and prepare statistical data and indicators and prepare them for publication, in coordination with the competent authorities.
- Prepare indicators of sustainable development statistics and statistical indicators related to international reports, in coordination with the competent authorities.
- Prepare statistical reports and tables for statistical data, in coordination with the competent authorities.
- Coordinate with the competent authorities to ensure the integrity and consistency of statistical data.
- Identify the framework of the collection and production of source data and the design of analytical reports and publications, in cooperation with the competent authorities.
- Provide the statistical data demanded by local agencies, regional and international organizations, in coordination with the specialized agencies.
- Publish statistical data and official statistics, in coordination with the competent authorities.
