Population

Population is a term used to identify a group of human beings (a number of people) of all ages (Qataris and non-Qataris) living within the boundaries of the State of Qatar, in complexes, houses, locations, or environments where living conditions are provided in a given time. Demographics is a term used to reflect the characteristics of population distribution in terms of nationality, age, sex and marital status. Perhaps the most common global demographic notations to measure the demographics and its evolution are the following: Population in year Y, Population at age X, Fertility during a given period and Growth over a given period. According to Census 2010, the total population of Qatar was 1,670,389 people, distributed among 1,270,968 males and 399,421 females. It should be noted that the demographics include, in addition to the above, the population dynamics that comprises the natural development (births, deaths, etc.) and the spatial movement (internal and external migration) of the population. Perhaps the most common global demographic notations to measure the population dynamics and their evolution are the following: Births and deaths by a specific Nationality and the population migrating across internal and external borders during a given period. Statistics provide data on (population) in the State through statistical operations, such as censuses (conducted in 1986, 1997, 2004, 2010 and 2015), sample surveys (Household Survey 1997 and Beyond), mid-year population estimates and population projections.
