Qatar Participates in GCC Ministerial Committee for Planning and Development’s Meeting

HE Dr. Saleh M. Al-Nabit, Minister of Development Planning and Statistics, participated in the twenty-sixth meeting of the Ministerial Committee for Planning and Development of the Gulf Cooperation Council, which was held in Saudi Arabia on Wednesday, May 11, 2016.
The Ministerial Committee discussed a number of topics related to planning and development in the Gulf states, which represent one of the key priorities of the Gulf Cooperation Council since its establishment in 1981.
One of the memos that the Ministerial Committee discussed during the meeting was one prepared by the Secretariat of the Gulf Cooperation Council on the decisions of the Supreme Council at its thirty sixth session on joint action and economic integration.
The Ministerial Committee also discussed a memorandum on the recommendations of the Committee of Undersecretaries and Deputies of Planning and Development Ministries and Agencies about the minutes of the fourteenth meeting of the Committee of Planning and Development Directors, and further discussed another memorandum on the recommendations of the Committee of Undersecretaries and Deputies of Planning and Development Ministries and Agencies about the minutes of the sixteenth meeting of the Population Policy Committee.​
